What we do

An extensive research team takes care of the development and registration of our veterinary pharmaceuticals throughout the world.
Our Pharmaceutical Laboratory develops useful, practical product formulations, like soluble powders, sterile injectable suspensions and oral liquids for livestock. To ensure a reliable shelf life after production, stability studies in several packagings are conducted. Our GLP certified research facility conducts safety and pharmacokinetic studies. The in-life phase of these studies take place in our Research Farm where cows, calves, pigs and poultry can be housed. Bio-analytical methods for detailed analysis of animal samples from the Research Farm are developed and validated in our Biopharmaceutical Laboratory.

The majority of our products is produced in our GMP approved facilities in Raamsdonksveer. Our specialism is to produce appropriate formulations and dosage forms for the use in livestock.

For oral use we produce good water soluble powders (e.g. Doxylin^®, Phenoxypen^®, and Sodium Salicyl^®), oral solutions (e.g. T.S.-Sol^®, Vitasol Multi^®) and premixes (e.g. Feedmix TS^®, Feedmix Flubendazole) for in feed use or “topdressing”. To increase our capacity for sterile injectables (e.g. Melovem^®, Dofatrim-ject^®, Doraflox^®, Penstrep-ject^®) a completely new sterile injectable plant has been built as extension to the current facility. Quality is the key-word in production. Audits of raw material suppliers, training of specialised employees, qualification of equipment and release of the products to the market are all covered in a dynamic GMP quality system.

Production is supported by:

• QS Department (Quality Services), including a Microbiological Laboratory, a Quality Control Laboratory and Quality Assurance Department.
• Logistic software systems (ERP, LIMS). Taking care of optimal planning and control of the production process in order to achieve optimal service level and productivity.

Dopharma offers a very complete range with over 70 veterinary pharmaceuticals for export markets and over 120 products for the domestic market. All products are especially designed for use in poultry, pigs, cattle and horses.
