I started here as a driver and after about 1.5 years I made the switch to the Customer Service department where I am manager now. In terms of work, I do a bit of everything. I deal with service for Dutch customers, but I also arrange a lot for export. I also have a lot of contact with the foreign branches. I also work on part of the supply chain and planning. In between, I jump in where necessary. So I am a jack-of-all-trades.<br \/>\nI also do sports. I like playing padel and I walk a lot. This year I did the Nijmegen 4-day walk, for which I had to train. Besides all that sport, there is still room for a burgundian life. I enjoy sitting out on the terrace with friends or barbecuing, and in between I have been chairman of a village festival in Bavel for 15 years. So I don&#8217;t like sitting still.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingrid:<\/strong><br \/>\nI am Ingrid Sloot and have been working at Dopharma for 33 years now. First I was executive secretary for Wijnand de Bruijn Sr. Then I started doing export and for the past four years I have been helping Jessica half a day a week with part of Legal. I also work on the international pricing part of sales support, the complaints handling part is also with me and I am involved in the whole order process from the order coming in until it is loaded on a container. Because each country has its own laws and regulations, it is very varied and challenging work. It can also be hectic at times and that even after 33 years, you still run into new things, but that keeps it fun.<br \/>\nI am also married, a mother of two and we have a dog and a cat. I also like to walk the dog and I often go out with friends. But apart from that, I also really enjoy being at home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chantal:<\/strong><br \/>\nMy name is Chantal and I have been working at Dopharma for over 2 years now. I mainly deal with Dutch exports and when my colleagues Jan or Hanneke are not around, I take over export tasks within Europe and in between we are already expanding to exports outside Europe. Furthermore, I work on the internal invoicing of our branch in Italy. And besides that, I am also working on the export of the car vaccines. So I do a bit of everything too!<br \/>\nI am married, have 2 children aged 8 and 11 and as a hobby I do scooter racing! Together with girlfriends we did the scooter race from Rotterdam to den Hout! That was great fun to do. I also enjoy gardening in my vegetable garden, participate in the judo activities committee and recently joined the committee of my street to organise everything throughout the year. So I am a \u2018\u2019busy bee\u2019\u2019!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frank:<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;m Frank van Enschot and I&#8217;ve also been employed for more than 25 years now. Ingrid has already explained in detail exactly what we do, only I add that we are in frequent contact with the Chamber of Commerce, carriers and banks, because you have to make sure not only that you only invoice but also that you actually receive the money on the agreed date.<br \/>\nI live in Berkel- Enschot, my hobbies are tennis, paddling and skiing. In the future, I would one day really enjoy staying in Austria for a longer period of time and skiing whenever you want. I am also quite burgundy and love a bite to eat and a drink.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you tell us something about order processing and shipping?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Dirk:<\/strong><br \/>\nAs the Customer Service department, our main task is to process the orders. The account managers Frank and Suzanne do the negotiations in advance and make the price agreements. Then we put the order into the system, discuss the planning and availability date with Supply Chain and we communicate that back to the customer. Then we indicate when we will ship the orders and also arrange transport. This also includes some post-processing in terms of invoicing and confirming that the orders have arrived. We work with different departments to make sure everything runs smoothly, such as the purchasing department and the warehouse.<\/p>\n<h3>Can you tell a funny or amusing anecdote about your work or what you once experienced?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ingrid:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe used to organize very nice fairs for clients. I can still remember one time we had dinner afterwards and then we didn&#8217;t have enough room in the car. Then one customer sat in the boot and the other customer lay over us on the way back! We laughed a lot then! Moments like that were very enjoyable and that also says something about the customer contact we have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dirk:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe keep finding this funny: outside Europe, my first name is quite a thing. In Dutch it is a common name, but for some customers I have to change my e-mail signature to \u2018\u2019Dirk\u2018\u2019 because otherwise it is not really accepted.<\/p>\n<h3>Have you experienced anything special or funny while working? For example, on the phone or via email?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Frank:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe received a question in the mailbox about a pony, and we already suspected that the e-mail was sent by a child. Her pony had a cough and the question was whether we had anything for it. As we are only allowed to supply vets, we unfortunately could not have helped. But private individuals also find us on the internet, of course, and since customer service is often the company&#8217;s first point of contact, sometimes situations like this do occur.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dirk:<\/strong><br \/>\nA vet once ordered 20 jerry cans of a product from us on a Friday afternoon. Because it was already a bit late and the order could not be delivered with the regular delivery, I took the jerry cans and the vet took it from my car in front of my house in his car. You can imagine that that looked quite criminal late at night for the people who saw it at the time, even though it is just legal!<\/p>\n<h3>What makes your work so fun for you?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Frank:<\/strong><br \/>\nBesides diversity and challenges, it is especially fun to come into contact with people from different countries and cultures. Surely the secret of our department is that we all enjoy going to work and that we accommodate each other&#8217;s work at all times when necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dirk:<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are also often told that everything is arranged so nicely and that we are friendly on the phone, because with us you don&#8217;t get to hear a tape when you call Dopharma.
