Vorige week werd de Europese registratieprocedure afgerond, waardoor Phenoxypen\u00ae nu ook voor varkens is toegelaten in alle 19 landen waar het product reeds voor pluimvee geregistreerd is. Het product is jaren geleden door Dopharma op de markt gebracht als een uniek smalspectrum penicilline voor toepassing in drinkwater bij kippen.<\/p>\n<h3><span data-text-color=\"primary\">Praktische en effectieve aanpak met een smalspectrum penicilline<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Penicillinen worden als de meest effectieve behandeloptie voor streptokokkeninfecties bij varkens beschouwd. Phenoxypen\u00ae bevat de smalspectrum penicilline fenoxymethylpenicilline, waardoor nu ook een <strong>effectieve \u00e9n doelgerichte behandeling mogelijk is<\/strong>Daarnaast is het product goed wateroplosbaar en zuurvast, <strong>wat het product praktisch en geschikt maakt voor orale toepassing via het drinkwater.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-text-color=\"primary\">Betekenis voor de varkenshouderij<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Het beschikbaar komen van een smalspectrum penicilline voor toediening in het drinkwater is een belangrijke ondersteuning van de <strong>One Health-doelstellingen<\/strong> in de varkenshouderij. Dankzij het gerichte Gram-positieve spectrum van fenoxymethylpenicilline kunnen streptokokkeninfecties nu effectief en met minder selectiedruk op Gram-negatieve bacteri\u00ebn behandeld worden.
