Dopharma announces strategic partnership with Micron Agritech to deploy AI as a tool to carry out Faecal Egg Count (FEC) testing for worms and fluke, whether on-site, or remotely, providing rapid, real-time results
Raamsdonksveer, the Netherlands – Dopharma and Micron Agritech proudly announce their strategic partnership across multiple important livestock markets in Europe for the exclusive distribution of the Micron Kit, an all-in-one, portable, and easy-to-use FEC worm and fluke diagnostic kit for veterinarians. Dopharma will kick off with Micron kit in their home markets, BENELUX and France. More European countries will follow in 2025.
New approach to parasitology
Micron Kit enables veterinarians to carry out a FEC worm or fluke test anywhere and at any time. The average waiting time for lab results is approximately two days. Micron Kit gives FEC worm and fluke testing results within 15 minutes.
Easy-to-use, cutting-edge technology
A scan of each sample is processed via the Micron Kit Reader which is uploaded to Micron’s server, where, using artificial intelligence, the analysis is undertaken. The proficiency-tested results are then delivered directly to the Micron Kit app on the mobile phones of veterinarians.
Micron Kit can be used to test for GI worms, liver and rumen fluke in cattle, sheep and horses. Access to the advanced analytics dashboard gives veterinarians a birds-eye view over test results, enabling them to easily monitor disease trends and geographic prevalence for the first time ever. More species will be added to the platform in the near future.

Dopharma will handle all sales and customer support for the Micron Kit, the fluke add-on and test credits. The Micron Kit can be pre-ordered from the end of August.
